Our challenge was to adapt Hawkin’s design to meet Westfield’s specific requirements, not only in terms of the physical store itself but also the concept. This involved reverse engineering Hawkin’s design to identify the inspiration behind it for our concept submission.
All this needed to be produced within a strict budget, which led to a large amount of value engineering to ensure all the targets were achieved in a cost effective manner. Timescales were also challenging. We worked continuously on the project to ensure the concept submission was delivered to Westfield within one week and working drawings submitted shortly after.
